Mitron 70WG is an early post-emergence selective herbicide for broadleaf weed control in beet crops. It acts by both root and leaf absorption. It controls a wide range of broadleaf weeds, including Fathen, Nettles, Amaranthus, Chickweed, Galinsoga, Groundsel, Shepherd’s purse, and many others. Mitron 70WG should be applied post emergence in beet crops. It has some residual activity.

Apply early post emergence when weeds are small and the crop has fully expanded cotyledons but before the second true leaf stage. Use 200- 300 litres of water per hectare as a fine misting spray.

WEED SPECTRUM

Susceptible: AMARANTHUS SPP., BUTTERCUPS (SEEDLING), CHICKWEED, DOCKS (SEEDLING), FAT HEN, GALINSOGA, GROUNDSEL, HAWKSBEARD, HENBIT, MATRICARIA SPP. (STINKING MAYWEED AND CHAMOMILES), NETTLES, PENNYCRESS, ANNUAL POA, WILD PORTULACA, SCOTCH THISTLE (SEEDLING), SHEPHERD’S PURSE, SOW THISTLE, SPEEDWELLS, SPURREY, TWIN CRESS, WHITE CLOVER, YARROW (SEEDLING).

Moderately Susceptible: Field pansy, Fumitory, Hedge mustard, Black nightshade, Scarlet pimpernel, Thorn apple, Wireweed. Non-susceptible: Californian thistle, Cleavers, Cornbind, Wild oats and most grasses.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING: Naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to triazinones can become more prevalent after many years of continuous use. To delay the onset of, or control resistant weeds, use in rotation with herbicides of different mode of action. Since the occurrence of resistant weeds is difficult to detect prior to use Adria New Zealand Ltd accepts no liability for losses that may result from the failure of this product to control resistant weeds.
