Ingredients

Abamectin 1mg/mL, 0.5mg/mL Selenium, 0.4mg/mL Cobalt, 2mg/mL Copper, 0.6mg/mL Zinc and 0.8mg/mL Iodine.

Indications

Abamectin Oral Plus Minerals for the treatment of the following susceptible immature and mature (*includes inhibited L4) Gastrointestinal roundworms and lungworms, including benzimidazole and levamisole resistant strains: Haemonchus spp.*, Ostertagia spp.*, Cooperia spp.*, Trichostrongylus spp., Oesophagostomum spp. (adults only), Nematodirus spp. (adults only), Dictyocaulus spp.

Shake well before use. Mectin Drench for sheep is a ready to use anthelmintic that can be dosed through standard drenching equipment.
Resistance can develop to any anthelmintic. To delay the onset of resistance:

  • It is advisable that a resistance test be conducted regularly when using any parasite treatment
  • Before dosing, weigh a group of animals to accurately calculate the dose
  • Choose the dose according to the heaviest animal
  • Do not under-dose
  • Check the accuracy of drench guns regularly
  • Wash out drench gun thoroughly with water before and after use.

Withholding Periods

Meat: Sheep producing meat and offal for human consumption must not be slaughtered within 21 days after treatment.
Milk: Milk intended for sale for human consumption must be discarded during treatment and for not less than 35 days following last treatment.
